Jisp gamifies CPG digitally without need of QR codes

Jisp, the retail technology company, has seen its recently launched competition-based shopper activation service Scan & Win gain significant traction globally with confirmed deployments in UK and Republic of Ireland, Australia, Singapore, Canada and the USA.

Scan & Win gamifies products digitally using their barcode, removing the need to reprint packaging with QR codes to create gamified experiences for consumers, delivering a simple, guaranteed journey from a social campaign right to a brand’s product.  

Through Scan & Win all that is needed is a barcode to connect social media users with the product, connecting potentially trillions of barcodes to billions of consumers globally. Scan & Win takes social posts, introduces gamification to engage users and connect them with a product to enter and win an online competition.

Rolled out entirely online it can be deployed across all digital platforms, achieving real time activation, with clear and actionable insights to aid future product marketing strategies.

Following a UK based deployment with Suntory Beverage & Food GB&I, Jisp recently concluded a campaign with Active Iron across the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Active Iron engaged Jisp to create a two-week Scan & Win campaign to connect with followers of Active Iron on social media and customers of its brands. A secondary objective was to establish how engaged its current social media following was and whether they were active purchasers of their products or passive followers.

The results were impressive, with an Instant win to prize draw conversion of 30% against an Industry average prize draw conversion 28%. 33% of users also repeat engaged with the campaign.  

Detailed mapping of entrants, user demographics, time and location provided the very best opportunity to measure the effectiveness of Active Iron’s engagement and to plan retargeted campaigns.  

Furthermore, feedback from campaign participants, showed that followers who didn’t previously buy the brand’s products went on to buy as a result of their engagement with the campaign.

Scan & Win allows brands to connect with and activate shoppers in their chosen market instantly, all while building a database of shopper data which would allow future re marketing to a clearly defined and engaged audience. Due to the method of engagement and execution, Scan & Win can be employed in collaboration with any product that carries a barcode.
